Dr. Jeff Brown

Dr. Brown grew up in Georgia - graduating from Tucker High School in 1975. He went on to follow his passion for animals graduating from the University of Colorado with a BS in chemistry and biology in 1978 then graduating from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. Dr. Jeff Brown was hired on as a staff veterinarian at Stone Mountain Animal Hospital after graduating from the University of Georgia in 1982 with honors. He purchased Stone Mountain Animal Hospital in 1985. He built another small animal practice (Sugarloaf Animal Hospital) on Sugarloaf Pkwy. in Lawrenceville in 1997. He works between both practices on a daily basis. He particularly enjoys orthopedic surgery and running his 2 dogs, Lucy and Sally, at the dog park. His wife, helps keep the offices supplied, and keeps track of his daughter, son, 6 cats, 4 birds, and 1 turtle. |
Dr. Nicole Aponte

Dr. Nicole Aponte was born and raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology at the University of the Virgin Islands. Dr. Aponte later graduated in 1999 with honors from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in Tuskegee, Alabama. She has been with our team since 2001. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family, which includes, her two year old son Aaron, husband, and a "special" cat named Gimpy. |
Connie Anderson

Connie Anderson came aboard at Stone Mountain Animal Hospital in August 1989 as a veterinary assistant. She worked her way up over the years to head technician and kennel supervisor. Connie is married with one teenage son, Paul. She has two dogs and four cats to keep her busy at home. On her time off she enjoys swimming and the outdoors. |
Pam Smith

Pam Smith has been greeting clients at Stone Mountain Animal Hospital since 1996. On her days off she enjoys walking and playing with her beautiful dog "Zaire". |
Tiffany Faith
 |
Tiffany Faith joined the staff of Stone Mt. Animal Hospital (Stone Mountain Animal Hospital ) in 1997 as an animal caretaker. She works in all areas now as a veterinary assistant, technician and receptionist. She has a degree in biology from Clayton State. Tiffany’s family includes her husband, two year old son Parker, shepherd mix "Tinkerbell" and a Senegal Parrot named "Bird". |
Laria Clement

Laria Clement started six years ago at Stone Mountain Animal Hospital as an animal caretaker and is now a veterinary assistant. She is working on learning technical skills, also. She started working with animals at age fifteen. She also trained to be a technician while working at an emergency clinic. Laria is married and has a seven year old daughter, a newborn son and a cat named "Carla". |
Nicole Pera

Nicole Pera joined Stone Mountain Animal Hospital in June 2008 as a veterinary assistant. She is in training to become a veterinary technician. However, you will often see her helping out up front as receptionist. She lives with her golden retriever "Hailey", mix breed "Stella", pit bull "Pup Pup" and a cat named "Fluffy". |
Kerry Lucious

Kerry Lucious is the newest member of our staff. He started in July 2009 as a kennel assistant. Kerry has been working in animal care for five years. He says "he's happy to have a job working with animals." He owns two pit bulls named "Lady" and "Champ". |
Winkie
 |
Winkie, our one-eyed hospital cat, started with us in 2006. From her humble beginnings as a badly injured kitten, to the head of our quality control department...She is by far our most popular staff member! |
Butch and Face
 |

Butch and Face, our resident house dogs, handle all the "behind the scenes" life saving work. They are always willing to donate blood when duty calls. |
